Neighborhood Health Center's Behavioral Health team provides short-term individual counseling services that includes patient-centered, culturally-sensitive care to patients of all ages, languages and backgrounds. Counselors use a Cognitive Behavioral Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach to treat mental health diagnoses, including but not limited to:
Childhood Behavioral Disorders (ADHD, Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder)
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Mood Disorders and Issues with Emotional Regulation
Our Behavioral Health team works collaboratively with Health Center primary care providers for a coordinated and integrated care approach that addresses body, mind and circumstance. By providing Behavioral Health services in a primary healthcare setting, patients are offered a discrete and efficient option to improving overall health and wellness.
Established patients can call to schedule a Behavioral Health appointment at any time. Patients new to Neighborhood Health Center must call to schedule a new patient appointment with a medical provider, prior to being seen by the Behavioral Health Department.
