Neighborhood Health Center names new administrative directors.
Neighborhood Health Center is pleased to announce the promotions and new appointment of three local community health leaders. Personnel changes include the promotions of Stephanie Joerger, who was promoted from Human Resources Manager to Director of Human Resources, and Franklin Smith who was also promoted from Manager of Quality and Analytics to Director of Quality. Additionally, Neighborhood Health Center has also appointed Elise Robinson as Director of Community Health for the organization’s growing community health center enterprise.
With extensive backgrounds in healthcare recruitment, strategic outreach and performance improvement, Ms. Joerger, Ms. Robinson and Mr. Smith all bring unique expertise to the Neighborhood Health Center leadership team that enhance the organization’s mission to provide impactful healthcare to all Western New Yorkers.
Stephanie Joerger, Director of Human Resources
Born, bred and educated in Western New York, Stephanie Joerger was recently promoted to Director of Human Resources for Neighborhood Health Center after more than three years of service as a Human Resources Generalist and Manager for the practice. A graduate of Daemen College, Stephanie holds a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration Human Resources Management and Healthcare Administration. Stephanie brings eight years of human resources leadership experience in the healthcare field to this role.
Prior to joining the Neighborhood Health Center team, Stephanie has managed recruiting and talent management practices for two other local growing agencies.
As Director of Human Resources, Stephanie’s responsibilities include managing the practice’s recruitment process and efforts, including specific focus related to provider and leadership talent acquisition.
Elise Robinson, Director of Community Health
Elise Robinson brings more than 10 years of case management and community health leadership experience to her role as Director of Community Health. As a senior leader in community and public health, Elise comes to Neighborhood Health Center from Evergreen Health Services as the Director of Education and Enrollment.
Elise’s role as Director of Community Health at Neighborhood Health Center includes providing direct oversight of the organization’s Community Health team of frontline public health workers who build individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of strategic outreach, community education, informal counseling, social supports and advocacy activities.
Franklin Smith, Director of Quality
Also a Western New York native, Frank Smith was recently promoted to Director of Quality for Neighborhood Health Center after more than two years of service as Manager of Quality and Analytics for the practice.
Prior to joining Neighborhood Health Center, Frank held positions as the Buffalo market business analyst and operations supervisor for a national healthcare supply company.
As Director of Quality for Neighborhood Health Center, Frank is responsible for all components involved in organizational and medical staff quality of care, safety, measurement, informatics and performance improvement. Additionally, Frank oversees the Health Center’s Quality Department staff and ensures completion of all quality and risk management projects.
Neighborhood Health Center has been the region’s leading primary care safety-net provider for more than 30 years and provides high-quality, medical, dental, pharmacy, nutritional and behavioral health services to all Western New Yorkers, regardless of ability to pay. The Health Center is currently the primary care home to more than 25,000 Western New Yorkers.
