D’Youville College, Master's/Bachelor's in Physician Assistant program
When I began my schooling I was working fulltime and also had a six year old at home. I was able to juggle working, being a dad and also focus on my education.
When I began working at a primary care office as a medical assistant, I was able to see that patients were more likely to respond in a positive way when they were heard and understood. When I was around providers that were passionate it motivated me to provide and contribute to the community.
Dr. Raul Vazquez introduced me to medicine and gave me an opportunity to begin working with the underserved populations on the lower west side. Once I realized the need for bilingual health care providers Dr. V guided me in the right direction to accomplish that mission.
Fitness and spending time with my children.
