Medication Therapy Management

Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist
The first, and possibly most influential person, was a man named Dick Klenk. Mr. Klenk owned his own pharmacy in the village of Kenmore. Very early in my education, I shadowed him for just 3 hours. I watched him interact with every person who walked through the door as if they were a member of his family. Everyone felt welcomed and appreciated by Mr. Klenk and I have tried to apply that lesson daily ever since.
Education is an on-going process. It does not end at graduation and often the best education is found by doing something new. Consequently, after graduation, I have done whatever I can to learn about different ways to practice pharmacy, like consulting in long-term care facilities, operating the pharmacies in hemophilia treatment centers, or reviewing medications directly with patients in offices for medication therapy management.
