Who has been influential to you in your career?
Dr. Ince-Mercer is a compassionate internal medicine physician I worked alongside as a RN who encouraged me to follow my dreams of furthering my education and pursuing my PMHNP.
When have you seen the impact of good quality healthcare on patients?
Working as a RN in hospice, I have witnessed physicians, APPs, RNs, LPNs, PCAs, LCSW, and pharmacists working together to provide patients and their families comfort during a challenging time in their lives. During this difficult time, patients and their families were able to find comfort in their decisions and peace with the dying process.
What is something about your education experience that is unique?
I worked through the nursing roles by starting as a CNA. I attended University at Buffalo's accelerated nursing program to become a RN and then attended D'Youville University to obtain my PMHNP.
