Trauma Informed Practice, Mental Health in Children and Adolescents
Master's in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University
Bachelors in Sociology from John Carroll University
I visited the US-Mexico Border during my time in undergrad; meeting the families who were seeking asylum and witnessing their hard work, sacrifice, determination, and love inspired me to pursue a career in which I could provide needed mental health services while also continuing to fight for social justice.
I used to accompany my refugee clients in Nashville to the ER and Urgent Care facilities and wait hours with them to be seen. This was really the only avenue they had to obtain healthcare. I am proud to work in a place that seeks to provide quality and comprehensive healthcare services to anyone and everyone who needs it, regardless of income or background.
