Heather Lynette shares her story of overcoming life's obstacles, including her fight against cancer.
"I am normally a very private person but I felt compelled to share my story as a way to encourage others," says Heather Lynette.
Heather was born in the West Indies and has lived in the United States for most of her life. In her newly released book titled A Woman of God's Journey, many of the challenges she writes about -- the death of her mother and sister, health scares, family troubles -- will be relatable to many readers.
"As a person of faith, I began reflecting on my life with a new perspective," Heather explains. "Writing a book is the best way to reach, inspire and befriend as many people that I can. Support has a strong connection to healing. With this book I can support as many as I can."
Heather also stresses the importance of having the support of a consistent primary care physician who takes time to understand a patient's concerns and preferences. Heather has been a longtime patient of Neighborhood Health Center's Dr. Christopher Biondolillo, MD-BC.
"The professionalism and compassion shown to me throughout this journey gave me great relief. It was one less thing to worry about," says Heather. "My doctor had my back, which let me know Neighborhood had my back, also!"
"I've noted that when faced with daunting medical issues, Ms. Heather's positive attitude and faith have helped her thrive," says Dr. Biondolillo. "I have no doubt that these attributes contributed to her successful outcomes."
