Bringing fresh fruits and veggies to you!
The Massachusetts Avenue Project's (MAP) Mobile Market returns to Neighborhood Health Center for the season starting June 4.
This year, the mobile market will offer fresh and in-season produce at our Northwest location (155 Lawn Ave) from 11am-2pm every Wednesday through the end of October. The market will accept these payment methods: Cash, FMNP, Card, SNAP, Fresh Connect, Double Up Food Bucks.
“A diet rich in vegetables and fruits can help improve a number of health outcomes. Our partnership with MAP serves to help our patients, staff and community have more ready access to these healthy foods,” says Zak Collins, RD, a registered dietitian at Neighborhood Health Center.
In addition to providing primary healthcare services, Neighborhood also offers one-on-one (or family) nutrition appointments with registered dietitians and nutritionists. They can assist patients with planning for eating healthy on a budget, exercise and physical activity, healthy child growth, healthy eating before, during, and after pregnancy, managing health conditions, understanding what foods to eat, and more.
If you'd like to discuss your health goals with a nutritionist, request an appointment through the patient portal at nhcwny.org, or call us at 716-875-2904.
