Neighborhood Health Center's VP of Finance to be honored with prestigious award.
Neighborhood Health Center Vice President of Finance Ed Golebiewski is being honored with the prestigious Jeffrey T. Latman Memorial Award.
This award honors individuals who embody the values and principles that Jeff Latman championed. Latman was a leader in developing enhanced cost-based reimbursement that has had a lasting positive impact on health centers. The Community Health Care Association of New York State will present Ed with his award in New York City on February 8, 2024 at the Second Annual Jeffrey T. Latman Mini Golf Open.
In his 13+ years at Neighborhood, Ed has helped grow the organization’s revenue exponentially as Neighborhood has expanded from two sites to six sites plus a mobile unit. He provided leadership for Neighborhood’s $20 million New Market Tax Credit project that included renovating and expanding an old machinery building on Buffalo’s west side into Neighborhood’s new Riverway site, and the expansion of Neighborhood’s lower west side Mattina site.
“There continues to be a need for access to high quality healthcare in Western New York, and because of Ed’s careful attention to Neighborhood’s finances, we’ve been able to grow responsibly and expand our services to help meet that need,” said Neighborhood Health Center President and CEO Joanne Haefner. “We now care for nearly 29,000 patients, and have a financially stable organization that is providing jobs in the neighborhoods we serve.”
Ed is a previous Jeffrey T. Latman Scholarship winner. He’s a graduate of Canisius College, the father of three daughters, he has an identical twin, and he enjoys fishing, skiing, and golf.
