Emotional wellness refers to the state of mind in which we feel good and calm, we perceive that we control our emotions, and we are able to face the pressures of everyday life. We all have personal experiences that make our situations unique.
“It is essential to understand how to steer our emotions to prevent them from controlling us,” says Maria Augero, MS, RDN, CDCES, CDN, CHC, Clinical Dietitian at Neighborhood Health Center. “Remember, when making a change, we are leaving a situation of confinement that generates emotional problems which can interfere with our emotional wellbeing.”
