Neighborhood Health Center President & CEO Joanne Haefner has been named a 2025 C-Level Executive award winner by Buffalo Business First. This is the 14th annual C-Level Executive Awards which recognize WNY's most effective leaders.

Under Joanne’s leadership, Western New York’s largest and longest-serving Federally Qualified Health Center has grown significantly and responsibly, adding locations and services in response to community needs. Neighborhood now has six locations in Western New York, including the original location which opened in the Northwest Buffalo Community Center in 1987. Joanne was a driving force behind the expansion of existing Neighborhood sites, the addition of four new locations and a mobile healthcare bus, and the opening of in-house pharmacies at three Neighborhood locations. When she first became Neighborhood’s top executive in 2008, Neighborhood was the primary care home for fewer than 10,000 Western New Yorkers. That number has grown to more than 32,000 today. Neighborhood also consistently ranks as the top health center in WNY for quality thanks to Joanne’s data-driven approach to achieving high quality care.
