For me, Growing Health® means responding to the needs of our community. We have noted where access to services are needed and responded to that need. We have added a number of services such as behavioral health, podiatry, pharmacy and added locations all to grow health in our community. We have also focused on specific health and social determinant issues and shown improvement in diabetes, smoking, hypertension, healthy birth outcomes, food access and literacy to name a few.
I am inspired by the people we serve and the providers, staff and volunteers who work at Neighborhood. Many of our patients have faced incredible adversity but each day, each person comes here doing the very best they can. Our providers and staff bring with them unique values, diverse past histories and life experiences which help them to see the best in those we serve and in each other every day. It inspires me to do more and be a better person.
