Substance Use Treatment

Our substance use treatment service provides established Neighborhood Health Center patients with comprehensive support to help reach and maintain treatment and/or achieve full recovery. Our supportive care teams offer medication assisted treatment as well as one-on-one counseling for patients overcoming substance use.

Our non-judgmental team-based approach to care allows us to meet patients where they are to ensure a shared goal for treatment. Services include:

Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) best-practices to address the prevention of prescription and non-prescription opioid misuse
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), including the use of medications (such as Suboxone), in combination with behavioral health counseling to provide a whole patient approach to treatment
MAT Case Management for linkage to additional services and continued support
One-on-one Behavioral Health Counseling to support patients in their treatment and/or recovery
On-site access to prescribed medications at Neighborhood Health Center pharmacies at our Blasdell, Mattina and Riverway locations for continuity of care and seamless treatment

Patients are encouraged to speak with their primary care provider on which substance use treatment is best suited for them.

Established patients can use the patient portal or call to schedule a substance use treatment evaluation with their primary care provider. Patients new to Neighborhood must call to schedule a new patient appointment with a medical provider prior to receiving substance use treatment.
