My family has been very influential in my career. I first got interested in healthcare when my mom got sick when I was young. I got to see how a good healthcare team saves lives - literally!
When I am not working I like to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading and being active, but also bingeing my favorite TV shows like New Girl!
When I was working in the hospital at my first job, we helped someone start on MOUD (Medications for Opioid Use Disorder). The next time they came in for an elective procedure, they were a different person. They were healthier, happier, and grateful for our team. The patient put a lot of hard work in as well, so it was great to see the progress and how their hard work paid off.
I went to the same undergrad and PA school. (Go QU!) I only had one week between graduation and starting grad school.
