My family has been influential in my career path, especially my mom. She was able to teach me from a young age the importance of helping others no matter what the circumstance. I decided the way I could help people most would be to take on a career in medicine. She is the most generous person I know and I strive to be like her!
Good quality healthcare is extremely important. When I am able to see a patient's face change when they realize that I was really listening to them and I am going to do everything in my power to help them...you can see the expressions of gratitude and how important and life-changing practicing good medicine can be.
I was able to become a certified emergency medical technician (EMT) in high school!
