Who has been influential to you in your career?
My pre-medical advisor at Canisius, Dr. Allyson Backstrom. She helped open my eyes early on to the opportunity, value and need for high quality primary care, especially in WNY. Through my experiences there, I developed a passion and commitment to providing full spectrum primary care to anyone who needs it and to continue to be an advocate to improve our community's health and wellbeing.
When have you seen the impact of good quality healthcare on patients?
To me, good quality health care is about going the extra mile for the patient. I have witnessed this is many ways in my time, whether that is making home visits, frequent phone calls to check in on a patient and their family, or just taking time to truly listen, understand and be present. Our impact can truly be amazing when we listen and make a determined effort to meet the needs of our patients.
