As a child of immigrants, being aware that healthcare isn’t always accessible gave me a unique perspective while going though my education and training.

My father, who is also a physician, was influential to me in my career path. He took a non-traditional path to medicine. Watching him go through residency training while I was a teenager highlighted the dedication and rigor needed for this career path.

Througout my training and career, I have learned good quality healthcare goes hand in hand with bedside manner. Being able to connect with patients on a personal level helps you build a vital relationship that will be beneficial to patient care.

I would like to help contribute to the minimizing of health disparities across underserved communities.
