A $300,000 grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation will help Neighborhood Health Center further develop its nursing staff in 2023 and provide career advancement opportunities.

Thanks to the grant, Neighborhood will formalize a Medical Assistant Training Program which will include coursework, clinical shadowing and onboarding plans. Plus, the funding allows for the development of a director of nursing position at Neighborhood. This director will focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining nursing staff.

Since the Cabrini Foundation’s inception in 2018, it has awarded nearly $635 million to a variety of organizations to fund programs and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of New Yorkers.
