Federal Funding Awarded to Neighborhood Health Center
Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) announced $773,233 in federal funding provided through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded to Neighborhood Health Center of WNY, Community Health Center of Buffalo, and Jericho Road Ministries to further strengthen quality improvement activities and expand quality primary health care service delivery.
Higgins said, “Community Health Centers in Western New York have been on the front lines of community wellness since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, working hard to deliver the comprehensive care our residents require. These additional funds will help support their mission of continuing to provide for the underserved in our communities.”

The three Health Centers operate clinics in Niagara Falls, Cheektowaga, Blasdell, Hamburg, Lockport and various sites in the City of Buffalo.
Higgins previously announced more than $4 million in funding awarded to federally qualified healthcare clinics to expand COVID-19 testing capacity in Western New York. The supplemental funding was included in the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, approved by the House of Representatives on April 23rd, which provided $25 billion to expand testing nationwide.
